We, the undersigned players, builders, miners, and adventurers, citizens of the lands henceforth known as the Streek Van Veris (the Region of Veris), do solemnly declare our intentions and our rights before all who inhabit this shared world.

When, in the course of server events, it becomes necessary for one community of players to establish their own path and govern their own lands, a respectful declaration of the causes which impel them to this separation is warranted.

We hold these truths to be self-evident:

• That all players are created with the capacity for creativity, exploration, and community.

• That they are endowed with certain fundamental rights, among these being the Right to Build freely, the Right to Mine resources within their claimed territory, the Right to Fair Trade, and the Pursuit of Adventure without undue interference.

• That to secure these rights, communities may form their own governance, deriving their just powers from the consent of their members.

• That whenever any external force or circumstance becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the community to alter its allegiances or to establish its own independent standing.

The Streek Van Veris has been built block by block, through the hard work, dedication, and shared vision of its people. We have tilled the land, delved into the deepest caves, erected structures of beauty and utility, and fostered a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect.

Therefore, we, the representatives of the Streek Van Veris, appealing to the spirit of fairness and the code of the server, do, in the name and by the authority of the good people of this Region, solemnly publish and declare:

That the Streek Van Veris is, and of right ought to be, a free and independent region. That it is absolved from any external claim or dominion that seeks to undermine its autonomy or the well-being of its citizens. That as a Free and Independent Region, it has full power to establish its own laws, to defend its borders from hostile mobs and unwarranted aggression, to engage in commerce, to form alliances, and to do all other acts and things which independent regions may of right do.

And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the strength of our blocks, the sharpness of our tools, and the unity of our people, we mutually pledge to each other our efforts, our resources, and our enduring commitment to the prosperity and liberty of the Streek Van Veris.
